There are no approved vaccines or treatments for the rare Bundibugyo virus responsible for the current outbreak, which has killed more than 2,100 people out of more than 4,500.

The airport, South Korea’s main gateway about 30 miles (48km) west of Seoul, handled 38.39 million international passengers in the first half of 2026, according to preliminary figures compiled.
