Police watchdog investigating death in OPP custody
The Ontario Special Investigations Unit is looking into the death of a 28-year-old man who died in a cell at the OPP Northumberland Detachment. The man was arrested during a welfare check in Cramahe Township and had facial injuries at the time of his arrest. After being medically cleared at a hospital, he was returned to police custody before his death.
