Justice Department moves to toss conspiracy convictions for Jan. 6 rioters
The Justice Department has requested a federal appeals court to vacate seditious conspiracy convictions for leaders of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, who were previously sentenced for their roles in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol. This legal action follows a previous presidential clemency that commuted prison sentences for over 1,500 defendants charged in connection with the events.
