’I want to die': NYPD says it shot, killed knife-wielding man on Brooklyn Bridge cables
NYPD officers shot and killed a knife-wielding man on the Brooklyn Bridge after he climbed the cables and threatened emergency responders with the weapon, officials said at a Friday morning press conference. Once the man was about 3 feet away from the first ESU officer, officials say he raised the hand with the knife in it and extended it toward the officer.
