Jeevaraj was declared the winner in Sringeri Assembly constituency after a re-count of postal ballots, on May 2, 2026. The FIR was registered under Section 136 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, which deals with tampering of ballots and related offences, as well as under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, pertaining to forgery, cheating.
