A 38-year-old auto driver, M Raghavendra, killed his wife, Shruti R, by striking her with a beer bottle and subsequently strangling her at their home in Vibhitipura. Following the incident, he died by suicide using her sari to hang himself. The couple, originally from Davanagere, had been living in Bengaluru for about 15 years and had two children who are currently with Shruti's parents.
